  • The G-20 Summit convened for the first time in Africa, hosted by South Africa, and marked by a U.S. boycott due to bilateral tensions.
  • PM Narendra Modi presented a wide set of developmental, technological, and human-centric initiatives, linking them to the philosophy of Integral Humanism.

Major Proposals by India

  • India-led Trilateral Tech Partnership (ACITI)
      • Announced the Australia–Canada–India Technology and Innovation Partnership (ACITI).
      • Aims to deepen cooperation in AI, clean energy, strategic technologies, and resilient supply chains among democratic partners.
  • Africa-focused Skill & Health Initiatives
    • Proposed G-20 Africa Skills Multiplier Initiative to train 1 million Africans in high-demand sectors.
    • Called for a G-20 Global Healthcare Response Team for pandemic readiness and coordinated medical support.
