About Seafood Expo Bharat 2026
- It is India’s premier international seafood exposition, featuring over 325 exhibition stalls.
- Nearly 5,000 domestic and international stakeholders are expected to participate.
- The event also hosts the Seafood Culinary Olympiad.
India’s Seafood Export Data
- India’s seafood exports reached a record USD 8.45 billion in FY 2025-26.
- India has 670 approved seafood processing units, with capacity exceeding 40,000 metric tonnes per day.
- India targets 25% share of value-added products in total seafood exports by 2030.
About MPEDA
- MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) is a statutory body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
- It was set up by an Act of Parliament in 1972, absorbing the earlier Marine Products Export Promotion Council (1961) on August 24, 1972.
- Headquarters: Kochi, Kerala.
- It also has 15 ELISA Screening Laboratories in maritime states.

- Project BRAHMANK of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) celebrated its 16th Raising Day at Ranaghat, Arunachal Pradesh.
About Project BRAHMANK
- The project was raised on June 29, 2011 at Ranaghat, East Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh.
- It became fully functional on December 3, 2011.
- It is responsible for developing strategic road infrastructure across Siang, East Siang, West Siang, Upper Siang, and Shi-Yomi districts of Arunachal Pradesh.
- The project maintains 811 km of roads and approximately 86 bridges.
Significance
- The project provides strategic and operational connectivity to the Armed Forces.
- It has brought remote villages into the national mainstream, despite rugged terrain and difficult conditions.

- Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda launched the SUMAN Roadmap 2030 during the 16th CCHFW Conference.
About SUMAN Roadmap 2030
- It is a comprehensive strategic framework to transform maternal and newborn healthcare in India.
- It is anchored in the RMNCHA+N framework, adopting a life-cycle approach.
- It is spearheaded by the Maternal Health Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Key Targets
- Reduce Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) to below 70 per 100,000 live births by 2030.
- Further lower Neonatal Mortality Rate (NMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR).
- Achieve universal saturation of maternal and newborn health services.
Key Features
- Identification of high-risk pregnancies through four stages: antenatal care, third-trimester care, intrapartum care, and postnatal period.
- SUMAN Package for Pregnant Women promotes early registration and complete antenatal care.
- Bi-weekly home visits by ASHAs during the eighth and ninth months of pregnancy.
- Community participation through SUMAN Panchayats and Mothers’ Picnic initiatives.
- Wider deployment of Non-Pneumatic Anti-Shock Garments (NASG) for obstetric haemorrhage management.
- Digital monitoring through the JANANI Portal.
- Integration with Samagra Shishu Bal Swasthya Karyakram (SSBSK) for home-based care of children from birth to 36 months.
- Establishment of a centralised SUMAN Call Centre for grievance redressal.
