Viksit Vibrant Village Programme
- It is a youth-led initiative aimed at strengthening grassroots engagement in India’s border villages.
- Implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and ITBP (Indo-Tibetan Border Police).
- 500 MY Bharat volunteers from across India engage with communities in border regions.
- Target regions: Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh.
Two-Phase Implementation
Phase 1: 250 volunteers engage with 43 border villages. Phase 2: 250 volunteers engage with 50 additional villages.
Residential Format
A seven-day residential programme where volunteers live in border villages and interact with PRIs, district administrations and security forces.
Nation First Challenge
The programme promotes the Nation First Challenge, a nationwide citizenship campaign.
Five Key Themes
Swadeshi products, healthy cooking, public transport, natural farming, and local tourism.
- The original Vibrant Village Programme was announced in the Union Budget 2022–23.
- It focuses on border villages in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh.
- It aims to improve infrastructure and livelihood opportunities in strategically important frontier areas.
- The scheme covers villages on India’s northern border to prevent migration and strengthen security.
DISHA 2.0 Scheme
- DISHA stands for Designing Innovative Solutions for Holistic Access to Justice.
- It is a Central Sector Scheme under the Ministry of Law and Justice.
- It aims to leverage technology to develop citizen-friendly legal service platforms.
Tele-Law
Connects people with panel lawyers via mobile app and Toll-Free No. 14454, providing free pre-litigation legal advice through Common Service Centres (CSCs) at panchayat level.
Nyaya Bandhu (Pro-Bono Legal Services)
Advocates voluntarily provide legal assistance to marginalised communities under Section 12 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987. Pro-Bono Clubs are functional in law schools and colleges pan-India.
LLLAP
Legal Literacy and Legal Awareness Programme — builds grassroots worker capacity through workshops, webinars and IEC materials in collaboration with Prasar Bharati.
VIDHI-Sanjeevani
A centralised integrated dashboard for real-time monitoring of scheme performance and service delivery; envisages outreach to 50 lakh beneficiaries over 2026–31.
- Supports 22 Indian languages through a voice-first interface.
- Uses Hybrid Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture to ground responses in statutory legal texts.
- This design significantly reduces the risk of AI hallucination in legal information delivery.
